Mileposters youth speed record! Riders relax at the former Western Maryland station, Ohiopyle, PA, after riding round-trip Ohiopyle-Confluence (20 miles) on the Great Allegheny Passage, October 6, 2007, on the triplet, with the group leader, in two hours, including all stops!


On July 8, 2006, the 2005 youth distance recordholder (80 miles in a day--unloaded), who also held the title, with his sister, in 2004, increased his total to 82 miles in a day, along with our 9-year-old rider from the Washington, DC ride, who now shares the record. The trip was between Dead Man's Hollow and Connellsville on the Yough Trail, with an extra two miles at the end. They are shown at Cedar Creek, Youghiogheny River Trail, 18 miles from the finish line.
